In the past, it was a common practice to use the curtains made of
Khus (Vertivert) roots ('Khus ki tatti') for cooling the rooms etc
to protect from the heat waves. These curtains had a soothing, characteristic
earthy aroma which enhanced the cooling effect. Now, Desert Coolers
are being widely used in North India and some other regions like
Arizona, Nevada etc. to provide relief from heat waves in summer
season.
Perfumers
at Sugandhco developed a special long lasting fragrance for use
in these desert coolers and coined the term 'Cooler Perfume' for
the first time.
